A Relationship
Now that you are saved you have received Jesus into your heart , Did you know that It's a never ending process, a relationship with the creator [not just a religion like society made it to be]. That is why Christianity is so special and different because its a relationship, your creator wants to be your friend, how awesome is that?! One thing is you have to work on your relationship you cant just say the prayer and then that be it because Christianity is a relationship. We need to grow in that relationship in our intimacy, knowledge, commitment, and our surrender to him. He helps us by maturing us ,polishing us and working in our life. Adam and Eve broke your relationship by listening to Satan instead of God [sinning] so we have to work on it to restore and get back our relationship that man was created for. When I mean work on your relationship I don't mean good deeds , I mean to obey, and trust the lord so that we can live the way God intended. That's what making him Lord and savor is all about ,a relationship. You have to work at it just like you would with your close friend. Jesus called us his friend: 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. John 15:12,13[NKJV] You are someone very special to him, he wants to be your friend and help you with everything you face. He wants you to go to him, and learn about him. He gets real joy when you do. It wont be just handed to you though ,you will have tough times [Jesus said you would] but those tough times he is helping you be closer to him. So don't push him away when something terrible happens instead go to him ask him to help you with what is on your heart. Take it from me from my personal experiences you will gain so much more if you don't push him away. You will have those wonderful moments with the Lord because during hard times it is for a reason ,he is teach you something and he is helping you with your relationship with him, he's bring you closer to him. Even though it sounds crazy , go to him! Why hold your anger ,hurt and all other feelings in when you can let it go feel better and get closer to the Lord. Let him help you he can make you feel so much better if you go to him during hard times instead of pushing him away. Remember Lord knows best because he knows what you will do, when you will do it and what lies ahead he will guide you through life if you let him. So go to him for every problem you face, he will help you in all areas, even if its a small thing like getting good grades he would be honored to help you. He is a wonderful friend who you can tell EVERYTHING to and He is the one that will never backstab etc. You can trust him, humans will in some point in time fail you because its just our nature. Gods nature is different he wont be like Humans and fail you so therefore go to him, make him your buddy. I know he's the best buddy you will ever have.
Prayer
How to pray-All you have to do is to close your eyes [you can pray with your eyes open as well but closing your eyes helps you focus and not get distracted] and start with saying Lord and then just say whatever is on your mind. It is our way to talk to him. Talk to him like you would your friend because he is our friend. Prayer is our communication with God. When you pray start out with thanking him for what he has done in your life or will do then tell him what is on your heart. End all prayers by saying In Jesus name I pray Amen. One prayer that Jesus taught is called "the Lord's prayer "it goes like this :OUR Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever Amen.
One thing is Lord always answers prayers so don't think he doesn't and don't give up keep at it! Lord always answers though it's either a yes ,no or maybe later. The reason it is a no or maybe later is because he knows best! He probably has something that is even better that you can't even imagine that he wants to do for you but you have to be patient with him. Wait for his timing on everything, like the saying goes father knows best! So wait on the Lord you will be surprised when you do.

Repent and be
baptized
No one is perfect except for Lord Jesus
therefore we will sometimes sin but all we have to do is to ask him to forgive
us and to repent of sin [turn away from it] Since you have accepted
Jesus, you left your sins at the cross. Another words your old sinful life died
with Christ [cause he died for our sins] and you are new person inside because
you have accepted a new way of life. So because you have accepted the new way of
living you need to repent. The bible says it over and over again that one
needs to repent of sin [a change of mind that will result in a true sense of
regret and remorse over the sin as well as a deliberate change of behavior. The
inner person will realize the grief of disobedience before God, and eternal
conduct will be positively affected.] , its just another part of you receiving
salvation. Its because it blocks our fellowship with him, sin stops growth so in
order to have a good relationship you need to repent, you can't just keep on
sinning deliberately. You have to work at living that new life that was giving
to you when you accepted Christ into your heart. Baptizing is a special ceremony
where they sprinkle, or immerse you with water. Being baptized shows that
you have accepted Christ as your personal lord and savior publicly, that you
have accepted a new way of life and it is the cleansing of sin of the old life.
Its an act towards obedience. It is an outward expression of an inward decision
to align oneself with Christ and what He lived and died for. Every believer
should experiences being baptized and should be apart of your walk with Christ.
38Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 [NKJV]
19Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord Acts 3:19 [NKJV]
17From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17 [NKJV]
15and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel." Mark 1:15 [NKJV]
From my personal experience I got baptized on July 11 2004 and it was an awesome day it helped me get closer to the Lord and it helped witnessed to a little child who knew nothing about it. Her mother came up to me and thanked me for doing it because it showed her daughter a good example. That is the reason why Jesus got baptized was to show us that he wants us to show we are part of the body of Christ, to witness and declare to everyone that I have placed my faith in Jesus ,died to my old life and have newness of live, and the fullness of the holy spirit.
Make Disciples
Lord calls us to make disciples, tell others about the good news the gospel. He gave us the privilege of doing it for him instead of him just showing everybody. we are his workers. The only way others will know about the good news is if we share our faith with others. He didn't give it to us as an option he said to GO not if you feel like to. As believers in Christ we should want to help save the lost and share what he has done for us. If you don't want to then I would say to examine yourself to see if your in faith or if you are just talking the talk and not walking the walk. He warns about Luke warm Christians.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19[NLT]
Read the bible It's our Guide to Life
The bible [basic.Instructions.before.leaving.earth=bible] is our guide to life, how Lord wants you to live. So take advantage of his awesome gift and read the bible. The bible is the revelation of God himself. It is very important that you read the bible because its our tool to help us through our problems, questions, temptation ,teaches us about our creator and it has everything you need to know to help you in your Christian life. The bible is Gods thoughts. It also says to not be deceived by false prophets to sift everything you hear through the bible and if its not what the bible says then throw it out. "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 John 4:1[NKJV]When you first open it up first pray to the Lord and ask him to help you understand it ,how he made it to be not how you see or what to hear it as. He will help you understand it. The more you go to him, read the bible the more he will reveal himself to you ,keep at it you will get what you look for. The Lord says if you seek you will find. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29 :13[NLT]
How to read the bible
The bible is made up of books. How to read it is very easy just have to learn
first.... First go to the book you want like" John". Then when you see something
like John 5:2 you would read it like this... first go to John in the bible then
you look for the chapters you should see a big 1 etc look for chapter 5 and the
2 stands for the verse. All of the bible is made up of "books" than "chapters"
and "verses". So when you go to chapter 5 just go down and you should see a
little 2 that would be verse 2.Thats all there is too it :)
Example: So John 5:2 would be the following in bold:

Always forgives/Overcome temptation
Remember If you do sin which we sometimes all might do, remember he will always forgive us nothing is to difficult for him remember he's God. It is our enemy who tells us he won't forgive. That isn't true ,if he didn't forgive then dieing on the cross wouldn't mean a thing and he wouldn't have had to come to earth to save mankind. So always go to him remember he sees everything ,knows everything so why hide it from him? If you don't know what sin is in your life ask him to help you confess any sin you have so that you can live the Christian life as you were meant to. One thing is though that our enemy will attack you the more you try to get sin out but remember Lord will always have a way out for you. You can overcome temptation [sin] you have Jesus within you. Remember you are his and nothing will separate you from his love. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8 38:39[NKJV]One way to overcome temptation is every morning when you get up pray thanking him for this day and saying that you know you will be tempted but that you know he will help you. Ask him to help put on the Armor of God [putting on Jesus himself] Just pray what is below:

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11[NKJV]
When you do that he will help you overcome your sin. Our greatest tool
to overcoming Satan is the
bible so look in the area that you need help on and get that verse, when Satan
attacks you, say that line and end it with get behind me Satan in
Jesus name. When you
do that Satan cant argue with it ,he will leave you. Just try to resist it as
much as you can and he will. The Bible says to stand firm in the Lord, when you
do Satan will flee. Also remember that anything that is the opposite of what the
bible says is false and is of Satan. Satan is our enemy and he will throw
all kinds of things at you but remember that you will not be harmed
eternally. In other words he cant take away your place in heaven, he can only
harm your flesh. With Jesus, and his word [the bible] we can overcome anything
Satan throws at us Remember you have a KING on your side, who you belong
to.
Obey and trust
One main thing towards your relationship is to obey and trust in the lord. Those are the two vital key elements in a relationship. You should trust the lord like you would trust going over a bridge on a stormy day. For humans it is very difficult to trust someone we can't see but that's faith. Trust is part of faith. You need to trust in the lord because it is a vital part ,just like it is with any friend. He will guide you to the right paths but you have to trust him first. Put your full trust in him and you cant go wrong. The other thing is to obey him he wants you to obey him. One way to obey him is to follow all his commands ,listen to him. How do you listen to him. Well first he talks to us through theses ways- your heart, though other people, the bible [his word], through circumstances and the holy spirit. Just know he will call on you ,be quiet and know he is God, wait for his timing, by studying the bible and meditate on it, by depending on the holy spirit ,hear correction ,comforts he might be giving you, and open to here what he convicts you on. If you don't obey him you will miss out on all his blessings and not live like he meant for you to and you wont grow in your relationship. You cant have a good relationship without trust and Obeying. Just never give up remember the Lord is patent with us ,faithful, loves us etc. He will never take us down the wrong paths we do that by not obeying but if you let him he will help you back on the path he has for your life.
49But
anyone who listens and doesn't obey is like a person who builds a house without
a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will crumble
into a heap of ruins."Luke6:49[NLT]
Those who obey my commandments are the
ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them, and I will
love them. And I will reveal myself to each one of them.John14:21[NLT]
If
someone says, "I belong to God," but doesn't obey God's commandments, that
person is a liar and does not live in the truth.1John2:4

all people who sound religious are really godly. They may refer to me as 'Lord,'
but they still won't enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The decisive issue is whether
they obey my Father in heaven. Matthew7:21[NLT]

Have fellowship
one part of your Christian life is to have fellowship with other believers [your sisters and brothers in Christ through faith]. They can help you with everything you face because we all don't face the same things so our problems we face might turn out to help someone else down the road. Go to other believers they can help you ,encourage you and keep you on the right track. One way to having fellowship is going to church there is a a place where believers come to worship the lord in spirit and truth. Its also a good way to get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ. All believers are one family we all belong to God [we are the body of Christ] so therefore we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. He gave us a mission to help each other in time of need and to help others grow in Christ, Love each other, Instruct others, pray for each other, lift each other up.
4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ's body. We are all parts of his one body, and each of us has different work to do. And since we are all one body in Christ, we belong to each other, and each of us needs all the others. 6 God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well. Romans 12:4-6[NLT]
7I will bring them also to my holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy in my house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices, because my Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations. Isaiah 56:7
Don't worry about what others say
One thing I have learned during my walk with the lord is to not worry about what others say if I did I would be in trouble. Like Jesus said because we believe in the lord we will get criticized, loose friends, maybe even like Paul die for the sake of our beliefs. Just remember we don't have to let people get to us we have one father who we attended to. We don't have to worry about what others say because it wont matter in the end. Yes they shouldn't be the ones to Judge because only lord is to Judge.. Just try and please Father in everything you do and you wont go wrong because he is the only person who we should worry what he will think. In our world everyone is competing against everyone for looks, being perfect etc but we shouldn't need to worry lord doesn't want us to live in worry. Nothing lasts in the world it will all go away one day so why try to be perfect ,get the best things etc because we will never be perfect until we are with him. It's just a waste of time it will pass way. Remember The lord loves you unconditionally and thinks your beautiful no matter how you look etc, we are his beautiful children!
